Founded in 1961, WVU Parkersburg is a vital part of the Mid-Ohio Valley. The university has a strong commitment to helping to the arts in our region. WVU Parkersburg is expanding its own programming in art, literature, theater and music. As a partner and administrator of the Arts of the Mid Ohio Valley Collaborative, WVUP provides its students with opportunities in arts education, strategic communications and business development.
The college’s primary service area consists of seven counties in West Virginia: Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt and Wood.
