What a great afternoon program featured on Blennerhassett Island, Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) is live at Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park. The educational birds are a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors.
This nature program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat, diet and behavior of each bird presented, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds. This program is scheduled at several state parks in 2023.
There is no fee to attend. Open to the public, the program lasts about an hour and is staged on the lawn area on the island. Park staff can direct visitors to the areas. Questions are welcomed. This is a family friendly event. An excellent presentation for all ages. Join us on the island for Three Rivers Avian Center and to meet the birds of prey.
