Topic: Basic Traditional Gunsmithing Techniques of the 19th Century
This program is for adults. Students ages 12-18 must have parental supervision.
Nitty Gritty will focus on gun barrel rifling machines, common tools of the gunsmith, stock inlay patterns and techniques, and touch on the methods used in building the Vincent Rifle. Our speaker, “Bill” Reynolds, will demonstrate a rifling machine, and delve into the subjects of freshening barrels, rates of twist and the history of gunmaking.
