Set during the Civil War, Little Women is the story of the day to day struggles of the March family, a mother and her 4 daughters, while Mr. March is off fighting for the Union. Even though it is a tight-knit family, the girls are uniquely different from each other, which leads to disagreements and even a touch of revenge. Friendship and love interest evolve along with
much self-identity and expression. All of the characters are “human” – not always liked,
loved, or hated. They are all “imperfect people, and it’s not a perfect family”. Rated AGP-PG
This retelling of Little Women is a more modern version of the beloved classic novel.
It was given a PG rating due to sensitive gender questioning by a few of the characters.
It certainly is appropriate for our modern-day families.
