The St. Marys Community Concert Band is set to present its first concert of 2023 on Saturday, April 15, at 7 PM at the St. Marys High School Auditorium.
For its first concert of the new season, the band will present a variety of music including an old John Philip Sousa favorite titled “High School Cadets,” a slower title called “On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss” by David R. Holsinger which is based on “It is Well with My Soul,” and many more marches, Broadway and Jazz hits, and concert band classics.
The concert is being sponsored by the SMHS Band Patrons and although there is no admission fee, all donations of any amount will be gladly accepted to benefit the students in the SMHS Band Program.
