CHALK THE BLOCK:
New Date! We are excited to have you join us for CHALK THE BLOCK on Saturday, October 21st! This is the most colorful part of our ArtOberfest celebration!
To participate in CHALK THE BLOCK, you need to reserve your space and set of chalk pastels. Complete the online registration form and payment of $5 (below) to secure your spot! The first 24 artists to register will receive a 48 color set of chalk pastels to use.

Your “canvas” will be roughly 6’X6’ on the sidewalk along Market St. between 8th and 9th streets. We provide the chalk, you provide your other supplies (stool, water, rags, brushes, tape measures, etc).

You can start your work as early as 1 p.m. on October 21, but all work should be finished by 5 p.m. that evening.

ArtOberfest attendees will be encouraged to walk the Chalk the Block and vote for the chalk art pieces that speak to them.

People’s Choice Awards will be offered in adult and teen categories. There will be first and second place in each.

Prize packages will be awarded.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will move Chalk the Block to another date. MOVED TO OCT. 21st!
